According to this article, the author clarified some negative sides of Pirates in Disney. He stated that Disney invented a new idea; that is the pirates of the Caribbean ride, in order to make people enjoy it. Although this idea was successful and became popular, it was criticized because if you check what is behind this idea, you infer that pirates lead to bad behaviours and act out these behaviours in romantic ways.
